BOP Defendants found strictly liable

A Hancock County Circuit Court judge found three defendants strictly liable for certain damages caused by the implosion.
The defendants include Frontier Industrial Corporation, Mingo Junction Steel Works and SCM Engineered Demolition and Explosives.
“Judge Wilson found that as a matter of law in West Virginia, when you use high ordinance explosives in a demolition near a residential neighborhood you are strictly liable for the damages you caused, there’s no need to show negligence, it is a strict liability tort.”
